Our accommodation is fairly simple but comfortable, and we aim to keep it reasonably priced.

 

Eg - flats have the usual facilities such as cooker (good sized); microwave; toaster; fridge; washing machine; iron; ironing board; colour TV (including freeview channels); portable cassette/cd/radio player; free WiFi in both flats; heating (as applicable); constant hot water for bath and shower and also hot water bottles, but not items such as dishwashers or widescreen TV.

 

Both flats have a telephone from which free land-line (up to 60 minutes) calls can be made (sorry not mobile phone calls, though – if you need to make a call to a mobile, you will need to use our phone or the public one at the beach).  You can also receive calls (they will come through to the main house and be transferred to you).

 

We supply all bedding (most of our sheets are cotton) and towels (plenty); washing-up liquid; other cleaning items incl. dishcloths, scourers and tea-towels, also washing powder, tea, coffee, sugar, etc. and we can supply other provisions on request. Each flat has a waterproof OS 1:25,000 map of the area which you can use to take out walking.

The Accommodation

The Manor Flat is a self-contained apartment in the main building on the top floor at the rear of Crackington Manor, with views up the valley from the living room, balcony and family bedroom, and sea views and views to Penkenna from the side of the kitchen, living-room and smaller bedroom.

 

The approach is via a flight of steps to a balcony from which a few more steps bring you to the glass fronted door into the accommodation.  The balcony is designed for sitting out - there are views up the valley, and it is also possible to look out to sea in the opposite direction.

The Manor Flat

The Power House

The Power House is a one-bedroom self-contained flat comprising lobby, lounge, kitchen, large bathroom, and bedroom with sea view.

 

The property is in a small lane opposite a footbridge across the stream which runs into the sea.

Stone-flagged entrance lobby (incorporating washing machine/ironing board, iron etc.) into open plan kitchen, fully-equipped for 4 people, with fridge, oven, microwave, tables and chairs, portable cassette/cd/radio, and 6 open tread wooden stairs up to a further wooden staircase to 1st floor. 

Door to lounge (immediately left of front door) with low level wooden beamed ceiling, 2 windows onto lane.  Incorporates colour TV, sofa bed, armchairs, table and chairs, floor cushions.

A small lobby to the left leads you to a separate WC and washbasin

 

Beyond the living room is the kitchen/diner, with dining table, good-sized electric cooker (double oven and low-level grill); microwave; fridge-freezer (small freezer and large fridge); washing machine; iron; ironing board; portable radio/cassette/cd player; etc.

 

The smaller ensuite bedroom with double bed; corner hanging rail with shelf above; small chest of drawers and wall mirror, is beyond the kitchen, and the window to the side yields sea views.  The ensuite contains a shower, WC and washbasin.

1st floor - Large bathroom with bath and toilet, and bedroom (side sea view) with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and  cane seat.

The larger family bedroom is also ensuite and is situated off the lobby to the left of the living room. This room faces the morning sun, and contains a double bed and two single beds one of which is 3’6”.  The ensuite bathroom is full-sized with bath, WC and washbasin.

The front door brings you straight into the living room with armchairs, colour TV.  This is a light room with double aspect - views of the sea to the side as well as up the valley through the glass panelled door.  Both the balcony and living room face east and thus catch the morning sun.
